Built in 1977 with extensive hand-cut rose and scroll engraving on nickeled action with non-auto safety and double triggers. (Current version of this rifle has laser engraving, not hand cut like this one.) Full pistol grip stock with right hand palm swell , 14 3/4" LOP through checkered butt, and beavertail forend. 24 LPI checkering is sharp and neat. Strong ejectors. Metal finish is excellent with no pitting or scratches, some loss of blueing on sharp edges. Has ERA (Rechnagel) pivot bases and 30mm rings, also single fixed blade on express half-rib with brass bead front sight. 24" bbls, 7 lbs light. This rifle regulates very well with 175 gr Hornady RN over 53.0 grs of Norma 205 at 2500 fps and is sold with RCBS dies, 16 rounds of hand-loaded ammo, circa 80 bullets, and a can of Norma powder. Cased in a modern Chapuis black ABS fitted case. Scope not included. |
